Antonio J. Rueda es profesor titular de universidad en el Departamento de Informática de la Universidad de Jaén. Es Licenciado en Informática por la Universidad de Granada y Doctor en Informática por la Universidad de Málaga. Sus principales áreas de interés se centran en la Informática Gráfica en general, incluyendo aspectos como la implementación eficiente de algoritmos geométricos, el tratamiento de datos procedentes de escaneado láser 3D o el procesamiento y generación de imágenes estereoscópicas. También ha trabajado activamente en la aceleración de algoritmos de propósito general mediante el uso de GPUs, especialmente en el ámbito de las ciencias de la Tierra. Ha presentado más de 30 trabajos en revistas y congresos científicos y es revisor habitual de revistas de alto impacto como IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer-Aided Design o Computers & Geosciences. También ha firmado varios contratos de I+D+i con empresas como Sacyr S.L. o Kandor Graphics S.L.
